I woke up at 4:30 to catch the bus by 5:30. At 5:15 as I’m walking out the door this morning, my wife says, plaintively, “Why are you taking the bus?” So… I drove… got to work at 6:15 AM (including a stop for breakfast at MacDowells - you know the one that has the Big Mc, instead of the Big Mac), and sat here… listening to Morning Edition on NPR. Got to hear Bob Edwards sign off with much class - not even mentioning it, really, just interviewing the person he interviewed FIRST on Morning Edition, about 25 years ago: Charles Osgood.

I hate when you get to work early (2 hours early for me today), and you can’t figure out what you’re supposed to be doing…
This is my first entry in what I hope to be a new tradition. I intend to use this area as my soapbox, rather than rely on just venting to one or two close friends. Yes, I’ll continue to vent to them - but why not share with the world, right?
