So, they did an upgrade to the Storage Area Network where I work, over the weekend… and they weren't able to complete the job in time for start of business today. So, e-mail is down in most areas of the company, and my group is taking a severe hit in terms of the number of calls they're receiving.
So to stem the flow of calls, someone decided that they should send out a mass voice mail to all phones (5,000+ subscribers) informing them of the e-mail outage. Only this system wide message slows down the voice mail system, and causes an increase in calls in my area anyhow. Not to mention that the system wide voice mail didn't function as it should, and now most subscribers got a blank message after being told they were receiving a 20-second emergency message.
It's Monday… definitely.
