I love when the religious right-wingers get together and talk about the concept of life, especially following the fulfillment of a woman's desire to die rather than being kept on life support. Specifically, there are two right-wingers I have in mind. The governor of my state of Florida, Jeb Bush, and his chimp-like brother, George DUHbyuh Bush. I think these sites show exactly how much these two “Right to Life”ers adore life: Iraq Body Count, and Iraq Casualties depict the number of Iraqi civilians and Coalition soldiers who have died since the commencement of the war. This site, Florida Executions Year by Year, shows how many people have been executed in the state of Florida for crimes ranging from rape to murder.
Now… I am not a “right to lifer.” I do not, in most cases, agree with the death penalty. I do not believe it deters criminals from murdering, especially in cold blood… besides, it's cheaper to keep them locked up in an 8' by 8' cell for the rest of their pathetic lives. I do believe, for the most part that abortion is unnecessary; however, I would not keep someone who desired one from having one - it eliminates one more unwanted child from the streets. But I have a hard time understanding how these two clowns could say they would like to breed a culture of life, when every, and I do mean EVERY, action they have taken represents a view diametrically opposed to this very concept.
It boggles the mind.
