In dreams…

No, not THOSE kind of dreams, preverts…

I've not been sleeping very well as of late.  In fact, I quite think that I'm coming down with something.  Anyhow, we've been without climate control in our humble abode for a few weeks, and now, thanks to a broken water pipe - the one connecting our condo to the water world - we've been off of that grid too.  All that's left to do is sleep.

So sleep I do.

And when I sleep, I have these weird dreams.

Yesterday, during my afternoon nap (yes, I had a morning one, too, because I didn't really sleep the night before), I had a dream that I was at the Disney Birthing Center.  Yes… I know that Disney doesn't have a birthing center, but humor me here.  The birthing center was set up as a three-story building, into which pregnant mothers-to-be go, and out come mothers and babies.  Only this birthing center was totally unsafe.  There were NO safety features in this birthing center.  No guardrails on the stairs, ramps down which gurneys would be pushed with mothers (and babies) again with no guardrails (especially at the end of the ramps where there would be steep chasms the bottom of which one could not see), open sewers with no grates covering them, elevators with no doors.  All of this, and one lone safety officer running around the place trying to keep everyone safe.  That would be me.

Last night, I had another dream.  Last night's dream was something that occurred in North Florida.  Near Jacksonville, if I'm not mistaken.  The airport was closed for remodelling, so I was running around (literally running, on foot) doing something which I have yet to figure out.  The dream ended with me playing chicken in a railyard with empty boxcars hurtling toward me on tracks that were not totally there, with me having to try to figure out which way to jump to avoid one of them colliding into me.  These cars were being pushed by engines in the style of the short-track relay skaters pushing each other (find some footage somewhere, if you don't know what I'm talking about), down the track, at me.  I didn't, to my knowledge, get plowed into.  A good thing, considering that I love trains.

Anyhow… thought I'd share my fun.
