I'm a geek…

Yes, I am a total geek. Many of you here (okay, all two of you) may beg to differ, but I am a total geek.

This can be witnessed by the fact that I got a laugh out of a photo posted on the website of a company whose flight simulator I fly occasionally on my Macintosh.

Here is that image:

To get the joke about why I think the pic is funny, you have to read the page here: http://www.x-plane.com/weapon.html, about the “secret weapon” that X-Plane uses to create their flight simulator.

I was actually quite surprised at their development platform; but the quality of their product made me think “if you want a quality product, you build it from a quality foundation, what?!”

Am I a geek or what? :-D

New things going on…

Well, well, well…

For those of you who have beefed about having to read through my political posts (ahem, ) to get to my more personal posts, I have great news.

Starting immediately, I have separated my blogs. Here is where I will continue to post personal goings-on in my life; however, I'll now post my political ramblings at www.miamiprogressive.com. Everyone here, of course, is more than welcome to visit my other blog and comment, as you would here. The other blog is hosted, and managed, by me; but you can create an account there in order to comment. I do welcome your comments.

New Goings On In My Life
(in no particular order)

  • I have finished my school work for this term, and have registered for nine hours next term.
  • I have downloaded a ton of audio books.
  • I am getting back into the swing of things here at work, and trying to get my head straight for the new year.
  • My youngest son, Logan, had a double lateral myringotomy (ear tubes) and adenoidectomy yesterday. Surgery was in and out the same day, and we were home by 3:15pm. He's starting to get going again, playing.
  • My lovely wife, , created a great picture of Jack for one of her classes. I'm trying to help her out with school as much as possible.

In a nutshell, that's about it. Things are going well.

How are things in YOUR neck of the woods?
