The semester is over, people are going away. I've lost two people in my call center - fulltimers that is…
is still working on her classes, which is giving me more time with my sons. Lately, the boys and I have been going to a park in South Miami with them, and I've been letting them run around for an hour or two. That's been kinda fun, but I'm worried that my having to drive there is having an adverse impact on the environment. So, I think we might start walking to a park more local to us, rather than being a gas-guzzler.
The weather has clearly started changing down here, into the summer mode. Things are a bit dry, but warming up. Hopefully we'll start to see some rain down here.
Maybe now that I'm not taking classes this summer, I'll be able to update this more often.
Those who have heard the stories of my undergraduate college career will find it no surprise that I am changing my program. I'm moving from the Master of Arts in International Studies program to the Ph. D. program in Public Management. For two years now, I've always cringed when I've annouced my goals at the start of terms in my classes in International Relations, because my aims have never really been theoretical in terms of International Relations.
I will be bringing quite a bit of International Studies background to my studies in Public Management… and my interests (computer technology, transportation, urban design, green living, and public policy), now that I've actually taken a look at this program, seem to all come together quite nicely.
So, in six or so years, I will be Dr. Sean.
And to think that I've already joked with someone about having a Ph. D. in Subwayology…
