The bike is back…

Got my bike tuned up this week. A skill I’m hoping to pick up sooner rather than later for myself.

Most locations that I want to go to are within 10 miles of here. An easy bike ride, on flat roads. My work commute is eight miles one way. And with it cooling off, now would be the perfect time to start biking to work.

So, putting the rack on the bike, tuning it up, getting it in shape, and picking up the toolkit for it cost a couple hundred. Four fill-ups in the van, but these tools should last much longer than four tanks of fuel in the van.

We’re still planning on using the van around town when we go to get groceries, but even that may go to bikes soon.

Also, with the new health plan kicking in at work in January, I need to drop the weight in order to get rid of some of the meds I’m on, and make it worth the switch.

Hopefully we’ll be able to keep most of that money in the bank.

Thank goodness!!! Good news to share!!!
