I’ve been reading the manual on OpenLDAP today, OpenLDAP being a free implementation of the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol.
Why?
Because I think there’s a better way to take care of my address book than to have it on one machine when I really could be using it on all five of my machines.
Besides, I’m trying to be geeky.
Well, I’m using Apple’s new Macintosh operating system, Leopard. I must admit I’m adjusting to it, but it’s taking some time. When I first installed it, it appeared to be dragging some serious tail, running very slowly. But I let it sit for about an hour and a half and it seems to be working quite well now.I’ve just started using “Spaces,” which is, I think, one of the greatest features of the new OS. My desktops are now uncluttered, clear, and I’ve got some serious Zen going.
All in all, it’s a worthy investment.
